JSSP is a four-year program funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development and managed by Millennium DPI Partners to improve Kosovo’s rule of law and good governance by strengthening the independence, professionalism, efficiency, and accountability of the justice system.

In support of this program, KLSC plans to engage three legal officers who will work in the courts (two BRLOs in Pristina Basic Court and one in Mitrovica Basic Court) and commit to reduce the accumulated backlog by performing administrative tasks, prepare memoranda, draft decisions, judgements, notices or correspondence, analyze laws, conduct legal research and editing, supporting court judges. Legal officers will be assigned to courts and will report to JSSP as well as to the leadership in the designated courts, primarily the Basic Court of Prishtina, and Basic Court of Mitrovica.
Legal officials will be placed in the courts and must be available to work in any court.

The contractual period for this position will be April 2019 until November 2019, with the possibility of extension.

Potential candidates must have the following qualifications:
•Diploma from a Faculty of Law
•At least one year of working legal experience in the judicial system or courts
•Previous direct working experience with judges is required
•Experience on drafting court decisions and documents
•Advanced computer skills, preferably with Electronic Case Database
•Excellent communication skills; both orally and in writing, especially in Albanian and/or Serbian
•Knowledge of English language is an advantage
•Bar Exam is an advantage but not required
